Description of the walk

Park in the Port du Pouldu car park, on the banks of the Laïta.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, walk round the hotel-restaurant and take the steps on the left, which lead to the coastal path along the River Laïta.

GR®34, marked in white and red

Turn right; at a fork in the road near a copse, take the path on the right which descends close to the river, leading to Anse de Stervilin.

(1) Walk around the cove and continue to the small harbour at Porsmoric.

End of the GR®34, marked in white and red

(2) Head up the road to the left until you reach the end of the houses, then turn right into a passageway which leads to a road opposite a property. Follow the road to the right for just under 100 m.

(3) Turn left onto the path that runs alongside the Croaz an Ter campsite. NB: the access to the path is not always very clear. One option may be to go through the campsite, following the other side of the hedge (making sure to do so with the manager’s permission).

(4) At a crossroads, take the path leading down to the right (marked by a ‘private property’ sign allowing passage). This path runs alongside a small stream before joining the larger Quinquis stream.

(5) Where the path meets the D49, turn right onto it and then immediately turn left onto the aptly named Route du Quinquis.

(6) When you reach the Moulin du Quinquis, take a small path on the left alongside a stream.

(7) At a crossroads, take the path leading off to the right.

(8) Where the path joins the D24, in the hamlet of Kerharo, take the road opposite, then turn right immediately. Walk through a housing estate and, after crossing a road, continue straight on along a track.

(9) At the junction with a wider track, turn left towards the hamlet of Kerbeurnes, where you take the road on the right for about 150 metres.

(10) Turn left onto a well-marked path.

(11) When you come out onto a meadow, in front of a house’s gate, turn left to reach the riverbank.

(12) Then take the coastal path to the left

(13) In front of the surf centre, head down the small road to Kerrou Beach. Cross the beach and continue along the path towards the east.

(14) After walking along Belangenet Beach, continue to follow the red and white markings.

(15) At a roundabout, take the road on the right, still following the signposts. Turn right onto Rue de Porz Castel, running alongside Grands Sables Beach; turn briefly left.

(16) Turn immediately right and continue along the coastal path.

(17) Walk past Fort Clohars, then past the Mât Pilote.

(18) At the end of the path, take a small road to the left, then another to the right, and head towards Port du Pouldu (S/E).
