The Pays d’Auge, amidst horses and apple trees

Park in the car park at Bellou Town Hall.

(S/E) Turn right towards Les Moutiers-Hubert. At the bend, turn left onto the dirt track called Chemin du Monument. At the end of the track, turn left onto the D268.

(1) At the Fork in the road, take the Chemin des Vaux Ménard on the left. At the^first junction, turn right and continue until you reach the D268.

(2) Cross it and take the Chemin Léonore Fini opposite, heading towards La Greslebinière. When you reach a road, follow it to the right and, at Le Saucé, pass in front of the old school. You will then come to a Y-junction.

(3) Turn right towards Cambris; a little further on, follow the tree-lined path on the right and carry on straight ahead to reach the D110.

(4) Cross the road and head down towards the valley via the Chemin des Ruisseaux. At the hairpin bend, leave the road and follow the small path on the left. Walk past the Orgeries buildings.

(5) Cut across the road onto a path and reach the hamlet of La Poterie. Carry on until you reach the junction with a wider track.

(6) Ignore this and turn right to head up a path. Cross the road at the Carrefour de la Poterie. Continue along the shaded dirt track. At the end, turn right and follow the D110a for about a hundred metres until you reach a four-way junction.

(7) Turn left to follow the Chemin de terre de la Cabine, where you’ll find a training track on the right and a fitness circuit on the left. Continue through the woodland to reach the Haras junction on the D4.

(8) Cross it carefully and take the D135 opposite towards Fervaques. As you leave the woods, keep to the right along the edge. You’ll reach another road between the hamlets of Parc Labonde and Bladière.

(9) Carry on straight ahead along a grassy track and you’ll come out onto the road leading to Petit Rouil.

(10) Turn right onto it and you’ll reach the D4 again.

(11) Cross this road again with care. Take the path on the left and join the D268.

(12) Continue straight ahead along the dirt track. At the hamlet of La Biltière, you’ll reach the D110. Turn left onto it, pass the town hall, turn right and then left to return to the car park at Bellou town hall (S/E).

(8) and (11) Take great care when crossing the D4 road.
