Departure from the Provençal fountain, Place des Félibres.
Signposting: directional signs with the route logo and an arrow
(S/E). Take Rue Alphonse Daudet opposite the post office, walk for about 500 metres and join the Voie Verte.
(1) Follow it to the left until you reach a road (Avenue Louis Pasteur) and continue a few metres to the right.
(2) Turn left onto Chemin de Bellefeuille, pass the Camaret municipal technical services garage and continue straight ahead until you reach a four-way intersection.
(3) Cross the road (D43) carefully and continue straight ahead until you reach the next crossroads.
(4) Turn left (Chemin du Carry), cross two roads, pass under two high-voltage power lines and reach a three-way junction.
(5) Turn right and continue to the bridge.
(6) Cross the bridge over the Carpentras Canal and immediately turn right onto the dirt track. Follow the canal to the D23.
(7) Cross the road and follow the path that branches off to the left, to the right of the bridge. Follow the canal, enter the woods, then reach the edge of the woods and a bridge.
(8) Turn right onto the old Orange-Buis-les-Baronnies railway line and continue straight ahead. Cross a road (Route de Violès) and continue straight ahead. Approach a road, then take it at the next junction. Continue to the right (Chemin de Vacqueyras), and after a few metres, you will arrive at Chemin de Saint-Tronquet on the left.
(9) Take this road and then, at the three-way junction, turn left onto Chemin de la Pisciculture. Then take the dirt track on the right that leads into the woods and arrives at the Étang de Saint-Tronquet.
(10) Continue to the end of the pond, follow a small stream and cross the fields to reach a crossroads just after No. 340.
(11) Continue on the left (Chemin de Saint-Tronquet) and follow this road straight ahead until you reach a 90° right turn at the edge of the woods.
(12) Leave the tarmac road and continue straight ahead. Then cross the vineyards on a dirt track until you reach a small road.
(13) Turn right (Chemin des Chèvres) and follow it up to the four-way intersection (Route de Jonquières).
(14) Cross the D43 with caution and continue straight ahead. At the next three-way junction, turn right onto Chemin de la Garriguette. Walk alongside an oak plantation on your left, then reach a strip of woodland on your right. Turn right at the corner and head towards the Source de la Garriguette.
(15) Continue along the path, walking alongside the vineyards on your right. Almost at the end, turn left and you will reach the Étang de la Garriguette.
(16) Go through the gate, then leave the pond. Cross a road (Chemin d'Avignon) and continue opposite on the dirt track that branches off to the left, then cross the vineyards. At the next fork, turn right then left onto the second track. Walk about 50 metres, turn right then left and continue straight ahead, following the rows of vines perpendicular to the path on your right. At the end, turn left and you will reach the tarmac road.
(17) Turn right (Chemin de Ratavoux) and arrive at the next fork at an old building with a tower.
(18) Turn left onto a dirt track, then follow Air Base 115 until you reach the next fork.
(19) Turn right (Chemin de Grange Blanche) and arrive at the Source de Grange Blanche.
(20) Continue up the road, cross the departmental road with caution and continue along Chemin de Grange Blanche.
(21) At Chemin de Vacqueyras, go a few metres to the right, then turn left onto Rue Alphonse Daudet and rejoin the route you have already taken.
(1) Continue straight ahead and follow the same route back to Place des Félibres (S/E).
A pleasant walk along the water's edge. If you have a dog that loves water, he'll love it.
