Mont des Alouettes and the Notre-Dame de la Vendée Chapel

Park in the Alouettes car park, situated near the D160 and the windmill.

(S/E) As you leave the car park, head left onto the main path towards the ruins of the old mill.

(1) Turn left onto the path lined with lawns and follow it in a circular pattern before heading back up towards the main path.

(2) Follow this path to the left for about 100 metres, then turn right into the pine forest to reach the former hamlet of La Maha.

(3) Turn right, then turn right again at the junction, heading back up towards the mill with its sails on the edge of the D160.

(4) Cross the road with care: be aware that this is a busy road. Pass to the left of the Notre-Dame de la Vendée Chapel and follow the path, which curves to the right further on and leads to a junction at the edge of the woods.

(5) Head up to the right towards the chapel.

(4) Cross the road again with the same caution and head for the car park opposite (S/E).
