(S/E) Set off from the Manoir de la Bonaventure at Le Gué-du-Loir, in the commune of Mazangé. Walk past the former water tower, following theGRP® (yellow and red markings), and turn right.
(1) At the road, leave the GRP® and take the path opposite, which then turns left and climbs towards the woods at La Fontaine des Prés.
(2) At the 119m mark, follow the path to the right (marker). Then ignore the paths to the right and left and continue in the same direction towards the hamlet of Vauchalupeau.
(3) At the end of the path, in Vauchalupeau, take the road to the right and immediately turn left onto the path that climbs.
Then turn left onto the tarmac road to the hamlet of La Motte, then join the road. Take this road to the left, then the first path on the right towards Bois des Brûlées.
(4) Continue straight on to the right until you reach Vauracon. At Vauracon, turn left, then left again onto Chemin de la Pomerraie. Turn sharply right onto the path where there is a ‘No Entry except for residents’ sign.
Arrive at La Fosse Courtin via Rue de la Creuserie.
(5) Turn left onto Rue de la Fosse Courtin, not the path opposite the lodge. Ignore Impasse de la Fosse Courtin on the left, then, once at the fork, turn right onto Rue de la Chalopinière. Ignore the path on the right and continue straight on towards the hamlet. Cross the EDF power line at Fosse Courtin.
(6) At the end of Rue de la Chalopinière, by the well, turn right. Ignore the path on the left and continue along the road. At the Stop sign, take the road on the left and immediately turn right towards Courtozé, rejoining the GRP®. Cross Le Boulon and reach the crossroads where there is a cross.
(7) Take the path on the right (marked DSTM, Deanery of Saint-Martin). Look opposite at the mill.
Further on, leave the path on the left and continue along the Boulon.
(8) Just before La Ripopière, continue straight on along theGRP® until you reach the Route Alfred de Musset (D24).
Turn right, ignore the path on the right, then at the junction of the two roads, take the road on the left.
(1) Take the path on the left (the one you took on the way out) then left again to return to the car park (S/E).
: a good part of the walk offers no shade at all, as it passes through fields of grain and villages.
