Start from the car park at Bernay church.
(S/E) From the car park, walk up in front of the church and then turn left onto Rue aux Ânes (follow the yellow signs). Pass the cemetery and continue west on a path.
(1) At the T-junction, turn left and walk for about 1 km.
(2) At the crossroads, turn left onto a tarmac road that descends. At the start of the hamlet of Cointreau, turn right then left. The road through the woods becomes a path that runs alongside the Yerres river, then alongside the woods before climbing uphill. At a fork (elevation 81), turn right.
(3) At Les Trous Guillot, continue straight ahead, heading south.
(4) At the entrance to Pompierre (sign), turn left onto the road that descends (leave the yellow markings).
After the wash house, the road climbs again.
(5) At the houses, turn left and follow the yellow signs.
(6) The path leaves the woods with a right-hand bend and climbs up alongside the fields.
(7) Turn left at the top, then right 200 metres further on. The path then bends to the left as it approaches the houses.
(8) Turn right at the junction with Rue de Vaux. At the town hall, turn left onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Continue straight ahead until you reach the church (S/E).
