The starting point is in the Tourist Office car park at the bottom of the village of Lamoura
(S/E) Walk up the main street heading north and ignore the road that branches off to the right towards the lake.
(1) At the junction of the D304 and the Saint-Claude road, turn right and follow the red and white signposted trail (la Jurassienne) for 500m. The climb is steep on a narrow road that serves the last houses in the village. Then walk north-east on an easy, grassy and fairly flat path.
(2) At a fork, continue on the marked path on the right, still heading north-east. At Tresberruy, start descending towards a holiday centre. Join the road that leads to the holiday village and follow it down to the main road, which runs from Lamoura to Les Rousses.
(3) Cross this main road. Turn left then right to walk along a large car park to the ski lift ticket office.
(4) Take the path that climbs up under the ski lift cables. Close the gate behind you as the path crosses cow pastures. The slope is quite steep.
(5) Pass under the Auvernes ski lift line and, about 50 metres further on, leave theGR® trail on the left and continue climbing to the right, following the yellow markings towards Crêt Pela (east-northeast).
(6) Cross a small mountain road, follow it for about 15 metres to the left, then take the path opposite, which becomes narrow, steep and stony. After a final climb up a stone staircase, you will reach Crêt Pela.
(7) Take the same path back in the opposite direction to the small tarmac road.
(6) Turn left and follow the forest road to a viewpoint overlooking the lake.
(8) Leave this forest road and follow a yellow-marked trail to the south-west, which cuts across the top of all the Serra ski slopes. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of Lake Lamoura.
(9) At Les Thoramy, continue straight ahead on a grassy section (leave the path that turns right).
(10) Ignore the path that descends to the right and continue south-west on a path that climbs slightly into the woods.
(11) Cross the road leading to Lajoux, follow it to the right for 50 metres, and take the path on the left. Descend to an isolated house and climb back up to a tarmac road. Cross this road to rejoin a small wooded path. After about 50 metres, you will come to the village of Lamoura and reach the Tourist Office via the road (S/E).
