Start from the Plateau d'Yzeron car park.
(S/E) Take the small road towards the village of Yzeron. After a 50-metre descent, ignore thefirst path on the left (return route) and turn left onto thesecond path towards Monterou, visible on the hillside to the left.
(1) Immediately after this, continue along the path to the right, go round the hillock and take the path that climbs to the left. Climb until you reach a fork near a water catchment.
(2) Turn right, cross the valley floor and reach a fork in the road below the hamlet of Tiollet.
(3) Turn left uphill and reach the next fork.
(4) Take a sharp left-hand bend towards Le Pilon. As you leave the woods, leave the tarmac and turn onto the path climbing to the right at the edge of the woods. Continue to the next fork at the corner of a field.
(5) Turn left, walk above the Pilon farm and continue straight on until you reach a cross path (GR®7) at the edge of a woodland.
(6) Turn left downhill; on the flat section, follow the edge of the woods on your left and arrive at the Col des Brosses.
(7) Turn left towards Yzeron and continue straight on until you rejoin the route you have already taken. Take the small road on the right and head for the Plateau d’Yzeron car park (S/E).
