The Justiz path in Jaïzkibel from Guadalupe

The starting point for the walk is in the Guadalupe car park. To get there by car, see the ‘Practical Information’ section below.

(S/E) Retrace your steps, go past the roundabout and take the path directly opposite. Follow this path and continue straight on, then head into the forest.
Further on, cross the Route du Jaïzkibel, heading slightly diagonally to the left to take the path almost directly opposite.

(1) Turn left onto the dirt track.

(2) Take the tarmac road on the right.

(3) Walk past the restaurant and the Justiz golf course.

(4) Take the track on the left.

(5) You’ll reach the Route du Jaïzkibel. Follow it, keeping to the left and staying well on the left-hand side of the road. You’ll then reach the car park (S/E).

To get to the start by car:

from Saint-Jean-de-Luz, take the D810 to Béhobie.
Cross the border and take the GI626 towards San Sebastián.
Take the exit for Hondarribia.
At the various roundabouts, follow signs for Jaizkibel, Guadalupe or the GI3440 (following the directions on the signs).
Pass the Sanctuary of Guadalupe and turn right into the large car park.

Visit the Sanctuary of Guadalupe.
Walk a short distance towards the far end of the car park to see Guadalupe Fort.
