By car: from the border at Irun, head for Hondarribia airport.
Drive past the site and turn left towards "Guadalupe" on the Jaizkibel rise.
There is a large car park behind the Hermitage, which is the starting point.
On foot:
(S/E) Head towards the bottom of the car park and take the concrete path down.
(1) After about ten minutes, at a crossroads, follow the road to the left, which soon runs alongside a large house with a long hedge, and continue along this road until you reach the Artzu inn.
A few metres further on, the road turns into a track that leads down to the shore, past the Errotabal house.
(2) Further down, join a track to the left, towards El Molino. Further on, at a three-way junction, turn right towards El Molino.
At another three-way junction, turn right again, go down 50 m and turn left to reach the small Artzuportu cove.
(3) Continue up the path, sometimes cut into the rock, which then follows the shoreline, overhanging it.
Reach a plateau with a sign and information panel and continue. Reach a road junction.
(4) Turn left on the road to begin the ascent. To avoid the tarmac, follow the small path below it for 250m before rejoining and following it.
Pass the Justiz golf restaurant-bar. Further on, reach a crossroads indicated by a sign.
(5) Turn left onto a path that leads into the woods towards Guadalupe. Continue along the same path until you reach road GI-3440.
(6) Take this road on the left. At the next crossroads, turn left to return to the car park (S/E).
