The Bickenberg from Osenbach

The starting point is at the car park on Place de la Scierie in the centre of Osenbach. Other parking options are available.

(S/E) The path leaves the village fairly quickly, heading north-east up a gentle slope offering views of the village.

(1) We continue and arrive at a track (Chemin du Pfaffenheimer Trank).

(2) We follow it to a fork.

(3) We turn left towards the Étang de la Clairière.

(4) We ignore the track on the left, which leads straight back down to the village, and the path that climbs straight up, and instead take the path through the woods situated between the two. We walk through the woods until we reach a junction marked with a Blue Diamond.

(5) We turn left towards the Bickenberg plateau. We cross this magnificent Bickenberg, a place of meadows filled with countless flowers in spring (wild orchids, buttercups, etc.).

(6) We leave the Blue Diamond markings, continue straight on and join a road which we follow to the right until we reach the D40.

(7) We turn right onto it and continue until we reach a path on the left.

(8) We take a hairpin bend and descend gently towards the village of Osenbach and the Place de la Scierie on the left (S/E).
