The Moulin Papon Lake dam, via the large Rivoli Park

Departure from Place Napoléon, electric bikes can be hired from the Tourist Office.

(S/E) Turn right, pass to the left of Saint-Louis Church, and continue along Rue du Président De Gaulle until you reach the roundabout.

(1) Cross the roundabout and go down Rue du Président De Gaulle.

(2) At the roundabout, take Rue Georges Pompidou opposite and pass a third roundabout.

(3) After crossing the Yon, turn left into the paths of Parc Rivoli. Ignore a footbridge on your left, then turn right until you reach an intersection.

(4) Take Allée de la Bicentenaire on the left, along the Yon, and continue to a T-junction.

(5) Turn right, cross the Yon and continue left towards Moulin Sec. Follow the path along the river, cross Boulevard Gaston Defferre and, before the end of the island on the right, look for footbridges on the right.

(6) At the intersection, turn right onto the footbridges in Parc Alluchon and cross the Yon.

(7) Turn left along the Yon before the steps, make a hairpin turn, follow the D160 and, further on, cross it and join the Route de la Caverne

(8) Turn right onto this road and continue for 170 metres.

(9) Turn left onto the track that leads to the Lac de Moulin Papon dam.

(10) Cross it and turn right onto the road leading to the leisure area car park.

(11) Cross the car park, then the dam, and return to the intersection leading to it

(9) At the end of the track, turn left onto Route de la Caverne until you reach the junction with Rue de la Bretèche.

(12) Turn right and cross the railway line.

(13) Turn right onto Allée Yvonne de la Biliais and continue to the end.

(14) Turn right.

(7) Continue straight ahead, retracing your steps, cross Alluchon and Rivoli Park until you reach the intersection you passed on the way there, at the end of Allée de la Bicentenaire.

(4) Continue straight ahead and join Rue Renou.

(15) Follow it to the right until you reach a roundabout.

(16) Turn right onto Rue Gorges Pompidou until you reach a fork in the road that you passed at the start of the route.

(3) Continue straight ahead, following the route in reverse, until you reach Place Napoléon (S/E).
