Park at the top of the hamlet of La Mitonnière in Saint-Laurent-de-Vaux.
(S/E) Start with a fairly steep climb up Chemin de Château Vieux (first tarmac, then dirt road) until you reach the first fork in the forest.
(1) At the crossroads, head towards Le Giraud and follow the almost flat path through the forest to reach this hamlet.
(2) Continue downhill and to the left towards Yzeron on the tarmac road, until you reach a fork with a path near a house.
(3) Turn right onto this path which descends towards the river. Cross it (photo), continue straight ahead on the path which climbs up to the hamlet of Les Roches, then La Brally.
(4) Cross the D489 and take the small path that climbs quite steeply (photo). At a four-way crossroads, join the Aqueduc de l'Yzeron path. During this climb, there are other small paths that also climb, more or less parallel. In any case, when you reach a fairly wide and almost flat path, you are on the Aqueduc path.
(5) Take this path to the right, cross the small stream and you will come to another five-way crossroads (Crêt de Piraluron).
(6) Be careful here to take the middle path. A few metres further on, you will see a sign for Les Arnauds. Walk down a slight slope, then take a short climb to reach Les Arnauds.
(7) Continue towards Samazange by turning left and following the Ruisseau de la Milonière stream to enter Samazange
(8) Take the path down towards the ponds (photo), walk along the lower pond and you will come to a barrier at the end of it.
(9) Go through it, then follow the path on the left down to the river, cross the small footbridge, then go back up the road and turn left until you reach another bridge.
(10) Don't miss the path on the right that goes up towards Saint-Laurent-de-Vaux. At the church, turn right immediately and continue uphill until you reach the car park of the hamlet of La Mitonnière (S/E).
The section between (8) and (9) is no longer accessible. See reviews (22/03/2022) for an alternative
