Start from Saint-Laurent-de-Vaux, Vaugneray. Parking spaces on Chemin de la Grande Serve.
(S/E) Head due west along the Chemin de la Grande Serve. Follow this road to the second junction at Les Grandes Terres.
(1) Turn right onto Chemin des Adrets. Continue straight on until thesecond junction.
(2) Continue straight ahead along the Chemin de Samazange to the next junction.
(3) Continue straight ahead on the road (Chemin de Samazange), leaving the track on your right and the road on your left. Join the Route d’Yzeron and follow it to the right for about a hundred metres.
(4) Turn left onto the road, Chemin de Clavigny, which climbs steeply. The road gives way to a track leading to Clavigny via Combe Fusil. Join a small road at Col de la Fausse.
(5) Turn left and follow the path for about 100 metres until you reach a crossroads. Take the path on the far right, which climbs steeply. Continue straight on at the first fork and you will soon reach a second fork.
(6) Turn right onto the Route de l’Aqueduc. Keep left at the next fork.
(7) Turn left onto the Voie Romaine until you reach a junction of roads and paths.
(8) Continue right onto the Voie Romaine road.
(9) Cross the Route des Crêtes D113 and take the path opposite the Voie Romaine. Continue to a road junction at the Col de Malval.
(10) Turn sharp left onto the Route de Malval, then turn left onto the wide track and continue to a road/track junction.
(11) Cross the Route des Crêtes and the small dirt square, then head down the path heading due east-southeast. Continue straight on at the three junctions you come to.
(12) At the edge of the woods, turn left and after about a hundred metres turn right into the woods. Cross a road and reach a crossroads of paths and the Route de François1er.
(13) Turn left onto the path which descends quite steeply to the Route d’Yzeron.
(14) Cross the D489 road, continue on and turn right towards the crossroads you passed on the way out.
(3) Turn left, at a 90° angle, towards the ponds.
(15) Cross the small bridge and take the road on the right which leads uphill. Join the Chemin de la Grande Serve from the outward journey. Turn sharply left onto this path – it is a small road – to climb back up to the top of Saint-Laurent and the car park (S/E).
