The route starts in the centre of the hamlet of La Haute Épine.
(S/E) Head due north along a small road that descends. At the very bottom, turn right and continue down a track that leads to a junction with another track on the left.
(1) Ignore this path and continue to the right. Then take the next path on the right, which climbs slightly. Follow it to the left until you reach a cross path at the corner of a property.
(2) Turn left and head for the four-way crossroads. Continue straight on for about 50 m, then turn right. Shortly afterwards, pass under the high-voltage power line and continue to the next path on the left (marker 106).
(3) Turn left and, a little further on, you’ll reach another junction between two wooded areas. Turn right and continue to the next path on the left, situated directly beneath the power line.
(4) Head up to the left. Once at the top, ignore the next paths – first to the right, then to the left. Carry on straight ahead until you reach a road.
(5) Cross the road and head off to the right. 200 m further on, cross another road, then continue straight ahead along a path which, a little further on, joins another cross-path at the edge of the woods. Head right until you reach the next path on the left.
(6) Turn left, walk slightly uphill for 200 m until you reach a junction. Turn right onto a wide path and continue to the edge of the woodland.
(7) Turn left to follow the edge of the woodland, first turning left then right. Then head down a steep slope which leads out at the bottom onto a wide cross-path.
(8) Turn left. Once you reach the road, turn left and continue along the edge of the woodland, then across the fields.
(9) When you reach the edge of the woodland, turn left, go through the gate and start a gentle climb for 200 m. Ignore the path on the right and continue to the left. Once at the top, take the path on the right, which leads 400 m further on to a T-junction with a wide track (elevation 188).
(10) Head right, following this path which leads to a four-way junction. Turn left, pass a hut on your left and continue straight on, following a gentle descent which leads out onto a road.
(11) Cross the road with care, then head off at a 45° angle to the left. Go through the gate, continue straight on through the woods along a wide path that descends slightly and leads to a four-way junction (elevation 144).
(12) Turn right and head up a steep climb. At the junction, turn left, then a little further on, start descending on the left towards the hamlet of Les Ligaults.
(13) Carry on straight ahead along the road which descends and joins a cross-path at the very bottom. Cross over and head off to the right. 500 m further on, you’ll need to be very careful to spot the path which climbs up to the left (signposted).
(14) Take this steep path up to the left, which leads to a road at the top. Continue climbing to the left, keep left at the next junction and reach the (S/E).
