To get to the starting point: take the A75 motorway, exit 21, towards Lorlange. Park in the car park near the school.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, turn left, then right into Rue du Clos. Follow Rue du Bourguet to the right, then take the second street on the left, Rue des Sources.
(1) Pass in front of the "Bio" water treatment plant. At the fork, take the right-hand path and continue to the intersection with the road leading to the Château de Védrine.
(2) Cross the road, ignore the turn-off on the right and continue to the crossroads.
(3) Turn right, ignore the paths on either side and continue until you cross a small bridge.
(4) Just after the small bridge, at the crossroads, take the path on the right. Follow the Vernassa stream to the village of Vernassal. Continue straight ahead to cross the village.
(5) At the D19 road, turn right.
(6) At the first houses in the hamlet of Les Loyes, turn left onto the tarmac track. At the fork shortly afterwards, continue on the right-hand track, which climbs steeply!
(7) At the intersection, turn right, then take the first path on the left.
(8) At the fork, take the right-hand path which descends to the village of Lorlanges.
(9) At the junction with Rue Pré de Coste, go straight ahead to join Rue de l'Impériale, which you follow on the left to the starting point (S/E).

A pleasant hike with beautiful views of the countryside and farmland, our group of hikers enjoyed this peaceful, easy route with lovely views of the castles.
