Park in the heart of the Chailluz Forest in the car park on the left at the end of Chemin des Chapelets, before Grandes Baraque. Sparse yellow markings, intersection marked by signposts and yellow-red markings in places.
(S/E) Take the path to the left of the information signs and head towards the Grandes Baraques. Pass in front of the Petite École de la Forêt. On the right, at the crossroads, marked by the shelter with a tin roof (esplanade Robert Mauser). Continue along this beautiful stony forest path towards the Dame Blanche (Chemin de la Soue aux cochons).
(1) At the top, after the wooden barrier, immediately take the gravel path on the right, passing in front of the pond. (Do not go under the motorway). The track quickly becomes a dirt track, then a footpath. At a signpost, you will come to a small, long clearing. Go down the stony path on the right. Then turn left onto the small forest road. You will arrive at a new forest road, which you will take to the right for about 200 metres.
(2) Look for the signpost (on the left of the road) which invites you to take a discreet path on the right into a fir forest (towards Fontaine des Acacias). You will soon come to another signpost indicating the path on the right that descends into the beautiful wild doline to discover the fountain at the foot of a small cirque of mossy rocks. Return to the signpost and continue to the right.
(3) At the next signpost (mountain bike route marker), turn 90° to the left towards Grandes Baraques. The path quickly forks at the foot of a mountain bike route marker. Go straight up. Shortly after a signpost, forest sign 18, turn 90° to the right again.
(4) Walk up the tarmac forest road for about ten steps on the right and turn left onto the well-marked path (forest sign no. 23, yellow-red markings). Soon, at the top of a sinkhole, the path veers slightly to the left to go around it. Instead, choose to descend via the small path that winds through the sharp limestone pavement to cross this charming sinkhole, then walk along a fir tree plantation to rejoin the markings. Cross a logging track to reach the signpost opposite and turn left.
(5) A hundred metres further on, at the X-shaped crossroads, take the path on the left which crosses the previous farm track and descends the discovery trail that will take you to Creux Vivier, a beautiful, cool sinkhole. Stay on this beautiful path. At the sign (on the left) for "Mélèze d'Europe" (European larch), continue for about fifteen steps and, at the triangular fork, go up to the right to join the marked path.
(6) At the crossroads marked by a bench and the floral trail sign, go down to the far left, ignoring the signpost on the right, and continue straight down to return to the car park (S/E).
