The Santagny cross from Genouilly

Head to the small car park with toilets by the river in Genouilly.

(S/E) Reach the road and cross the bridge, then turn right onto the small road. At the first intersection at a place called L'Hôpital, turn right and descend onto a path.

(1) Cross the small footbridge and then head back up towards the village. At the road, turn left, then carefully turn right to leave it, going up a gentle slope along a small road lined with hedges.

(2) Pass a crossroads and continue straight on until the next intersection at a farm

(3) Leave the small road and take a path that climbs to the right, still lined with hedges, and join another small road.

(4) Follow it to the right, downhill, to Santagny.

(5) Cross the road and take the path almost opposite, which continues downhill. It passes close to an antenna before joining a small road, then a larger one at a wine cellar.

(6) Turn left to cross over the railway line, then immediately after the bridge, turn right onto the small road. Cross a small village, then reach a river.

(7) Continue along the small road that climbs up to the next village.

(8) After a few houses, look for the path that climbs up to the right. Follow it to the top, then keep to the right on almost flat ground to cross the railway tracks again, after joining a small road. Follow this road downhill to the bridge at the start of the hike, which you must cross again to return to the starting point (S/E).

There are toilets at the starting car park. A second car park is located on the other side of the river.
