L'Île d'Olonne au départ de Brem-sur-Mer en boucle

The departure point is in the supermarket car park, Rue du 8 Mai 1945.

(S/E) Leave the car park and turn left onto Route des Sables. Continue straight ahead until you reach the bridge over the Gachère.

(1) Cross the bridge and turn right onto Rue des Granges (cycle path). Cross to the other side of the road halfway down the street.

(2) In the right-hand bend at the end of Rue des Granges, continue straight ahead onto Chemin de la Montée Chaumoise, which enters the Forêt d'Olonne. Follow this path, going straight ahead at each fork, until you reach the car park at La Sainte-Émilienne.

(3) Go under the bridge and turn immediately left, then, after 100 m, turn right onto the^GR®®8and continue on this path until you reach the T-junction with the^GR®®8and^GR®®364.

(4) Turn right onto the^GR®®8until you reach another T-junction, then turn left and continue to La Quenouillerie.

(5) Turn left onto the path leading south to Île-d'Olonne. This leads to the paved road of Fief Guesdon.

(6) After leaving the^GR®®8after about 100 metres, continue straight ahead on Chemin des Barres and follow it to the end until you reach Champclou.

(7) Continue left on the D 87 to the Pont de Champclou bridge.

(8) After the bridge over the Vertone, take the path on the right and follow the^GR®®8and^GR®®364signs through the marsh until you return to L'Île-d'Olonne.

(9) At the T-junction, turn left and then left again at the next junction. Follow the main road to Burelière.

(10) Turn left onto Rue de la Burelière and, at the end of the street, turn left onto Rue des Fossardières and continue for approximately 100 metres.

(11) Turn right onto the^first dirt track (^GR®® signpost). This leads to Impasse des Belous at a place called La Borderie. Join the D38.
(12) Cross the departmental road and take the street opposite (^GR®®364), then immediately left, then right onto Rue des Grands Prés. At the end of this street, turn left and you will immediately find Rue l'Ileau on your right.

(13) Follow this street and, at the next intersection, take Rue des Courroux opposite and continue until you reach the Blénière farm.

(14) Cross the farm and arrive at the Auzance (boating, picnics in season), which you cross via the wooden bridge.

(15) Go up the steep path until you reach Voie Lambert (tarmac road). Leave the^GR®® and turn left towards the wind farm.

(16) Take the dirt track on the right after the hut and head towards the wind turbines.

(17) After the^second wind turbine, follow the path opposite (wooden barrier).

(18) At the junction with Route de Vairé (busy departmental road), cross and take the path opposite. At the end, turn left and then, after 100 m, turn right. The path leads to Les Abattis d'en bas, turning right.

(19) At the exit of the hamlet, take the path on the left and continue to the next crossroads.

(20) Continue straight ahead and follow this road to La Primaudière.

(21) Pass this hamlet and cross La Plançonnière.
(22) At the junction with the Route de la Chaize-Giraud, turn left onto this road, then after 100 m turn left again. Continue to La Mignotière.

(23) At the entrance to the hamlet, turn right and cross it straight ahead, then continue along a path. At the end of this path, turn right, then left onto the next path and you will come to a road.

(24) Cross Chemin des Salbuzettes and take the path opposite, slightly to the right. Continue to the motorhome parking area and turn left onto Route de la Chaize-Giraud.

(25) At the roundabout, turn left onto Rue des Alouettes and at the end of the street, turn right onto Rue du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny. Ignore a street on your left and continue to the next intersection.

(26) Turn left onto Rue des Libertins and follow it to the end.

(27) Cross Rue du 8 Mai 1945 and take the street opposite to return to the supermarket car park, Rue du 8 Mai 1945 (S/E).
