(S/E) Starting from the car park, whilst facing the pond, walk to the right (South-West), picking up the tarmac path that will take you around the pond.

(1) Bypass the junction, continue on to follow the path around the pond (South). The pond will be on your left-hand side.

(2) After 330m, bypass the junction, continue on to follow the tarmac path. The pond still on your left-hand side.

(3) Bypass the junction, continue on to follow the tarmac path. The pond still on your left-hand side

(4) Bypass the junction, continue on to follow the tarmac path. The pond still on your left-hand side. Make your way back to the starting point..(S/E)

Transport: Irvine train station is approximately 0.7 miles from the start point. There are various bus stops nearby including at the Slipway (0.4 miles) and Irvine train station.

Facilities: There are various cafes at the nearby harbour area. There is plenty of seating along this route.

Terrain: The paths are in excellent condition. There are multiple choices to extend the walk.

Dog policy: This is an excellent area for dog walking.

There is a regular Nordic Walking group led by a fully qualified Fitness Coach and Nordic Walking Instructor.

There is easy access to Irvine Beach.

There is a calisthenics style fitness trail.

There are good paths for walking/running and wheeling.

There are always swans and ducks to see.

The harbour area is a short distance away with attractions such as the Scottish Maritime Museum (https://www.scottishmaritimemuseum.org/c...), Harbour Arts Centre (https://thehac.co.uk/) and various cafes.
