Circular Tour of Northern Toulouse: Gratentour, Villemur and Buzet

Start from the car park of the Salle Polyvalente in the town of Gratentour, 13 Rue de Maurys.

(S/E) Return to Rue de Maurys, turn left and then, at the roundabout, turn right onto the M77 and continue to the next one.

(1) Turn left onto the^M77A, towards Labastide-Saint-Sernin. Follow the small hillside roads and you’ll soon reach the village. At the D20, turn right, then at the roundabout, turn left onto the^D77A and head straight on until you reach the church.

(2) Continue left then right onto Route de Gargas, across the agricultural plain.

(3) Cross the D45 with care, taking the first turn right then left , and continue along Chemin de Balard. Join the^D30A and head straight on towards Vacquiers until you reach a junction at No. 679, at the first houses in Vacquiers.

(4) Turn left onto Chemin des Founzes, then right onto Chemin de la Chatarine and climb up to the church on the hill.

(5) Continue downhill, straight ahead, until you reach a three-way junction with a tree in the centre. Keep right and follow the^D32A towards Bessières until you reach another three-way junction.

(6) Turn left onto Chemin des Sudres and carry on straight ahead. Continue on the^D30A towards Villematier until you reach the stop sign at No. 1084 Route de Vacquiers.

(7) Turn right onto the^D14B, Côte du Rieu Tord, and you’ll reach a crossroad after passing through the Place de la Mairie. Continue left and, at the roundabout, go straight ahead onto Route de Villemur until you reach a 90° left-hand bend in the road, at the start of Chemin des Sagnes.

(8) Continue left along the cycle path to the Pierre Mendès-France roundabout.

(9) Continue left onto Avenue Saint-Exupéry, pass close to the Stade Vélodrome de Villemur and head for the second roundabout.

(10) Turn right onto the^D29D, towards LeBornpuis. Cross the bridge over the Tarn and turn immediately right onto the D29, towards the town centre.Turn left shortly afterwards onto Rue de la Bataille and arrive at a multi-way junction.

(11) Take the first right onto Avenue du Querçy, continue straight on along Rue Henri de Navarre, Rue de l'Hospice and Rue des Stradelis, until you reach Place du Souvenir.

(12) Turn right and, at the end of the square, turn right again onto Rue de la République. Pass in front of the Town Hall andstart your return journey southwards by crossing the bridge over the Tarn once more.

(10) At the roundabout, turn left and follow the route back in the opposite direction to Chemin des Sagnes, which is a peatland.

(8) Continue along the cycle path, taking care at road crossings, and join the^D15E at a roundabout.

(13) Take the roundabout and the D630, heading towards Saint-Sulpice. Stay on this road, pass through Bessières and reach a roundabout.

(14) Turn left towards Buzet-sur-Tarn, enter the town and continue along this road until you reach Rue de l’Église.

(15) Ignore it and turn left. Pass the Town Hall, then take a first turn right then left at Place de la Bascule. At the end of Rue des Écoles, turn right then left, heading towards Toulouse, and you’ll reach a roundabout.

(16) Continue straight ahead, then quickly turn right twice and follow Chemin de Parot. At the end of this, turn right then left onto the D22, heading towards Bessières. At the next junction, continue straight ahead onto the D32D and follow this road. Cross the Forêt de Buzet and reach the junction with the D32.

(17) Turn right onto the D32, towards Paulhac. Enter the village, pass the church then the Town Hall and turn left towards Coustou de Magnabel. Continue down to the junction, a few metres after the small bridge over the stream.

(18) Turn right then left onto Route de Fond Petite, and follow it to the next junction.

(19) Turn left onto the D30 towards Montastruc-la-Conseillère, then immediately right onto Chemin de Coustou d’Olibou. Continue straight on until you reach a crossroad at the end of Chemin Saint-Paul.

(20) Turn right and head towards a four-way junction at the corner of Bazus Town Hall.

(21) Turn left onto the D61, towards Lapeyrouse-Fossat. At the high-voltage power line, keep right onto the D20A and you’ll reach the junction with the D20.

(22) Turn right, then immediately left onto the dead-end road (Chemin de Beau Soleil). Continue straight on until the end of Chemin du Maine.

(23) Turn right onto Rue de Soubié; at the roundabout, turn left onto Rue de la Condite and follow it, keeping to the right at the multi-way junction.

(24) At the roundabout, turn left onto the D15, enter Pechmonnieu then take the first road on the right, Chemin de Roche. At no. 10, turn left onto Rue Jean Dumont, and at the end, keep left and you will soon reach a roundabout.

(25) Turn right onto the D77, towards Gratentour, until you reach the initial junction.

(1) Continue straight on until you reach the car park of the Salle Polyvalente (S/E).
