The two neighbourhoods are separated by the Frout valley, a tributary of the Odet.The retention basin is used to regulate the river’s flow to prevent flooding in Quimper.The Cuzon neighbourhood, situated a little apart, has developed a relatively recent craft and trade area.Around the Manoir de Kermahonnet lies one of the last remaining market-gardening areas in this north-western part of Quimper.
