Park in the Fort de Queuleu car park.
(S/E) From the car park, take the uphill path and head right towards the fort’s entrance.
(1) Once through the gate, turn left and follow the path which forms a circular loop inside the fort.
(2) Walk past Casemate A and continue to the right to keep going round the fortifications.
(3) At the three-way junction, take the path on the right, which offers views of old disused buildings. Ignore the paths branching off to the left, then walk round the back of the playground and picnic area.
(4) Carry on to the end of the path and turn left.
(1) Leave the fort and, once you’ve crossed the bridge, turn right facing the Deportation Memorial.
(5) After the gate, follow the path on the left to go round the outside of the memorial. At the junction of the paths, take the widest one on the right and follow it for about 700 metres until you reach a junction just past some beehives in a meadow on the right.
(6) Turn left onto a path leading downhill.
(7) Leave the path and follow the track to the right across a meadow. At the end of this track, turn left.
(8) Turn right to walk around the Parc du Pas du Loup, enjoying magnificent views of the Centre Pompidou.
(8) Once you’ve walked round the park, join the path running along the outside of the fort.
(7) Continue along the path to the right. This runs along the edge of the woods before entering them. Then walk alongside the fort’s moat on the left and head towards Rue du Fort de Queuleu.
Turn left and follow the road until you reach the junction with Allée Jean Burger. Turn left to follow this lane and
pass the memorial again to return to the car park (S/E).
