Park in the market hall car park, near the roundabout at Avenue du Rhâ / Avenue Charles de Gaulle / Rue Marcel Vallet.

(S/E) Return to the roundabout, cross Avenue Charles de Gaulle and continue straight ahead to enter the park on the driveway closed to vehicles, with a stream on your left. When you reach the lake, take the footbridge on the left. Continue as close as possible to the lake, on your right. Further on, pass a footbridge on your right, then stay on the right (do not join the road) and take the next footbridge. Go up the stairs on the left and join a tarmac path. At the next intersection, turn right onto the grassy path (Chemin de la Fontaine) and join a road, Avenue de la Ganipote.
(1) Cross it and follow it to the left, ignoring Chemin du Gourbaud on the right, then follow Chemin de la Mazerolle on the right. When the street turns left, continue straight ahead, cross the D25, pass a small embankment and continue straight ahead on the path. At the fork in the road, go right.
(2) At the next fork in the road, keep left. Go straight ahead at the next intersections and you will come to a T-junction with a path.
(3) Follow it to the left. Ignore a path on the left, arrive at a T-junction and continue to the left. Immediately after, ignore a path on the right, then another further on.
(4) At a barrier, ignore a path and then a trail on the left, and immediately take the next path on the left. Continue along this wide sandy path, ignoring all side paths and trails.
(5) Cross Avenue des Combots d'Ansoine (D141) and continue straight ahead (sign for Site Naturel Protégé des Combots d'Ansoine). Ignore a path on the right.

At the fork, follow the path on the left, markedGR®®. Ignore a path on the right and go straight ahead at the next two intersections.
(6) Follow theGR®® around a right-hand bend, go straight ahead at the next intersection and then follow another right-hand bend. Cross a wide sandy track and ignore a path on the left just before you reach a car park. Continue straight ahead until you see the tunnel under the road and go through it. On the other side, at the intersection with a path, follow it to the right, cross the cycle path and head for the beach (blockhouse).

(7) Follow the beach to the left.
(8) At the end of the beach, near other blockhouses, leave the beach, go up a tarmac ramp and follow a path on the right that goes around a restaurant, staying as close as possible to the coast. Follow it until you reach a road.

Follow the path reserved for pedestrians and bicycles on the right-hand side of the road, markedGR®®.
(9) Further on, the path veers off the road to the right and arrives at the Puits de l'Auture site, near the first carrelets (don't hesitate to venture onto the rocks to explore the site). Continue along the path, which approaches the road and then veers away from it again, staying close to the coast dotted with carrelets. Pass the gate of the beautiful Hôtel Primavera, then leave the Terre Nègre lighthouse on your left and arrive at the end of a beach.
(10) Continue along the path that runs alongside the beach. Further on, you will see the Devil's Bridge connected to the coast. Access to it is now prohibited and theGR®® is diverted from its route on the IGN map.

(11) At the end of the beach, a sign indicates that the Pont du Diable path is closed. Turn left, cross a car park and continue straight on along Avenue du Platin. Turn right onto Rue de la Ville d'Hiver, then right onto Avenue des Pierrières. Follow two left turns, ignore Rue de la Ville d'Hiver on your left and continue straight ahead on Rue du Bois du Roy. At the T-junction, turn right onto Avenue de la Forêt. At the next T-junction, you will find theGR®® markingsagain.

(12) This section is a round trip. Follow the signs to the right towards the Maison des Douanes. Cross the park in front of the Maison des Douanes (exhibitions) and join a path on the other side. Follow it to the right, with the coast on your left. Shortly afterwards, a sign announces that the path is closed 400 m ahead (this is the path that led to the Pont du Diable). Go to the end (information panel on erosion phenomena) and retrace your steps to the start of the round trip.
(12) Continue straight on Rue de l'Océan.
No signposts
Go down the stairs on the right leading to Saint-Palais Beach, follow it to the left and then turn left towards a red and white house. Go straight on Rue des Bains and, opposite the biscuit factory, turn left. Turn right into the park, then exit on the left towards the municipal police station and take the alley on the left (Rue Émile Grémeau, street sign further on). Continue straight ahead, take the paved path on the left of a building, join Rue du Logis Vert and follow it to the right, ignoring all side streets, to reach the market halls (S/E).
