Description

The starting point for the walk is the cafe/playground at Filey Brigg Country Park car park. There are also public toilets here.

(D/A) Take the road signposted to the Beach and Sailing Club. This is steep for most of the way down and extremely steep at the bottom.

(1)When you reach the beach, turn right and walk the short way along the beach and up the ramp to the Coble Landing. Here there are cafes, amusements, public toilets and the Lifeboat Station which is well worth a look. Continue walking along the seafront, the are many access points to the beach. On your right you will pass 'A High Tide in Short Wellies' sculpture next to the crazy golf course.

(2) You will eventually reach the Paddling Pool. There are further food outlets here and more public toilets. You can either walk up the steps to Glen Gardens, then turn right at the top along the Crescent, or follow Crescent Hill up to Crescent Gardens. There is a pleasant cafe here.

Exit the gardens in the top back onto The Cresent then follow the road around to the left. You should now be on Belle Vue Street. There are shops and cafes here for refreshments too.

(3) At the end of Belle Vue Street, turn right into West Avenue and follow the signs to the Museum and Country Park.

(4) Before the museum, cross the bridge to Saint Oswalds Church. From the church, bear left and follow the signs for the Country Park, this will take you around the road back to the car park. You should now have the caravan park on your left and the car park on your right.(D/A)
