(12) In the bend, leave the road towards La Guéraudais, which turns left, and take the path between the houses on the right. Cross the D12 road towards La Bouhourdais and turn right after 100 m to cross the D12 again and head west along the Gallo-Roman road (13).

Hike starting from the Chatelet lock
Parking at the Port du Lyvet, which avoids parking problems in Dinan but allows you to have lunch in the shelter of Dinan, with the return trip along the towpath requiring little effort.
There are few people on the route outside the town and only a few walkers on the towpath.
The section between the lock and marker 6 is well maintained but can be slippery at times due to the weather and leaves. The same applies between markers 15 and 17, particularly along the railway line.

A beautiful hike along the Rance and Dinan, which is so pretty. A lovely variety of landscapes.
A day out for me from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are some steps to climb, but these are followed by flat sections to recover.
Please note that parking at the bottom of the bridge in Dinan is paid: parking in Taden may be an option.
It starts along the Rance on the towpath with the boats, then the Rance, which is subject to the tides.
Relying (too much) on my GPS, I missed point 3 with the path going up to the left overlooking the Rance before the bridge.
For a picnic, point 6 is ideal, facing the Rance before you start the return journey through the countryside.
Towards the end, keep an eye out on the right for the winding climb opposite the houses between points 17 and 18 to reach the top of Dinan.
The route through Dinan allows you to discover the picturesque town, but if you prefer, you can bypass it at point 21 by turning left to reach point 24. In wet weather, the cobblestones of the beautiful Rue du Petif Fort leading down to the port are slippery...

A very interesting route due to its variety of paths, woods and small roads...
we just missed the last path at the fountain, so we followed the road and ended up at the entrance to Dinan port.

Hello!
A very pretty walk alternating between coastal landscapes, wooded countryside and the medieval town of Dinan, which is as beautiful as ever.
The description is a little vague at the end of the route, but it's nothing serious.
See you soon!
