Park in the car park at Place des Combattants, which is the starting point of the walk (also accessible by public transport).
(S/E) Head towards Rue du Colonel Tachet des Combes and follow it southwards. Take thefirst right onto Rue de l’Hôtel de Ville.
(1) At the end, turn left onto Avenue François de Lhonneux and, after about 20 metres, take the path on the right. Walk past a children’s playground on your left and, at the end of it, turn left to cross a stream. As you come off the footbridge, turn right to go under the railway line. Turn left straight away and follow Avenue Doyen Roger Woine (N947).
(2) At the level crossing, carry on straight ahead along Rue de la Gare, pass the station and continue along Avenue de Champalle. Walk alongside the River Meuse on your right until you reach a roundabout leading to a bridge.
(3) Turn right and cross the bridge over the river. At the roundabout on the opposite bank, turn left.
(4) A few dozen metres after the roundabout, turn right onto Rue de la Molignée and follow it to the right. The street soon turns left and passes close to the tourist information office. Continue straight on along this street.
(5) At a left-hand bend, leave the road and turn right onto the Ravel. Carry straight on along this path and cross a road (Rue Maison de Pierres).
(6) Carry on straight ahead along the Ravel, cross a second road (Rue de la Gare) and continue along the Ravel for about 500 metres.
(7) Just before you reach Rue de la Moliniée (N791), turn right onto a path leading through the woods.
(8) At the end of this track, turn right onto Rue de Bioul. At the next junction, turn right onto Rue de la Gare. Further on, still on this road, go round the Warnant snail farm on the left. Shortly after a right-hand bend, take a small track on the left which quickly leads back to the Ravel.
(6) Turn left and follow the Ravel in the opposite direction to your outward journey.
(5) Cross Rue de la Molignée and continue straight ahead on the Ravel. Cross a road and carry on along the Ravel as it enters the village of Anhée.
(9) Leave the Ravel and turn left onto the Place communale d’Anhée. Cross Rue Grande and continue straight ahead along Rue Ribot. Then cross Rue de la Libération and join the towpath. Follow the Meuse on your right.
(10) When you reach a sailing club, turn left, cross a park and you’ll come to a roundabout. Turn right here and, at the next roundabout, turn right again to cross the bridge over the Meuse once more.
(3) Turn left onto Avenue de Champalle and follow the Meuse on your left.
(2) Cross the railway line at the level crossing and immediately turn left into Rue du Rauysse.
(11) At the end of the street, turn left into Rue d’Evrehailles and immediately left again to go under the railway line and follow Avenue François de Lhoneux.
(1) Turn right onto Rue de l’Hôtel de Ville. At the next junction, turn left and you’ll soon be back at the starting point (S/E).
