Start: La Fouillouse stadium car park, opposite the station. Easy parking.
(S/E) Head towards the small river "Le Malval" and follow it upstream.
(1) Pass below the town hall, turn right after the footbridge and cross the main road.
Continue to follow the Malval and walk alongside the allotments to reach the top of this small hill.
Head back down the other side, keeping to the left, to return to the road to Saint-Héand.
(2) At the road, turn immediately right onto the path which runs alongside the Malval again.
Please note that this path consists of two sections separated by a housing estate in between.
When you reach the Route de Saint-Héand (D102) again, turn right and follow the road for about 300 m.
(3) After the bridge and the car park, cross the road and turn left onto the tarmac path towards Monteux (ignore the sign pointing to Monteux in the opposite direction for cars).
Take care on this hairpin bend as it is a one-way, narrow road and cars may be coming down. Once in the hamlet of Monteux, keep straight ahead to leave the tarmac.
(4) After a slight bend to the left, enter the Bois de Monichard, keeping to the path ahead of you. In this first section of the woods, the path curves to the left as it descends, leading to another path further down.
(5) Turn right for a few dozen metres, then immediately turn left to reach the Malval crossing. After the crossing, keep to the path on the right to follow the edge of the woods.
(6) At the junction of the Pagrand paths, head up to the left, keeping to the path ahead of you until you reach a road.
(7) When you reach the road, turn left and follow it for about 800m until you reach a tarmac path.
(8) At the junction, turn left onto the tarmac path. When you reach the bend on the right, walk alongside a pond and continue straight on between the houses, then follow the path downhill.
(9) On your right, you will see a statue. Turn right onto the road for 30 metres, then take the small street on the left and turn left onto Allée de Marnas. Follow the road downhill to reach the roundabout. Take the2nd exit (Allée de la Croix) for 50 m uphill, then take the small grassy path on the right as it curves slightly. Continue along the tarmac section until you reach the cross street.
(10) Turn left into the street (Allée du Pilat) and head down to the Coursière de Beccaud on the left. When you reach the street, turn right to reach the village centre.
You are now on the main street of La Fouillouse (Rue de la Libération). Head down to the left until you reach the traffic lights. Walk past the town hall on your right and cross the small footbridge over the Malval.
(1) Walk past the football stadium on your right to reach the car park at the start opposite (S/E).
