Departure from Place Carnot. There is plenty of parking available in Saint-Genest-Lerpt.
(S/E) Take Rue Francis Garnier towards the church, then Rue Louis Richard to the stadium.
(1) Enter the stadium grounds and turn immediately left. A small path skirts around the stadium, climbing up into a small wood. When you come out of the wood, continue straight ahead on a wider dirt track.
(2) Go through the gate and turn left onto Chemin de Bugnette.
(3) At the first crossroads, ignore the paths on the left and right, which will be used for the return journey, and continue straight ahead on the path until you reach the road.
Turn right onto the road and continue straight ahead, taking care (this road is not very busy but drivers tend to speed).
(4) At the three-way junction with a shed, turn right (yellow markings) and continue straight ahead until the road ends at a farm and leads to a path. There is a small pond with ducks on your right.
Continue straight ahead on the dirt track until you reach a hairpin bend on your left.
(5) At this hairpin bend, turn right and continue straight ahead, following the path. The path may be muddy, but there are small trails on the side that allow you to bypass these sections. Continue until you reach the junction with a road.
(6) Cross the road to access the hunter's park. Turn right and follow the path that will take you around the Bois de Fay.
(7) At the intersection, turn left and continue straight ahead until you leave the park and rejoin the road.
(8) Turn right onto Allée des Bois.
(9) At the first intersection, turn right.
(10) At the three-way junction, take the left path and continue straight ahead until you reach the crossroads.
(3) Take the path opposite, crossing the path you took on the way there, and descend to the road.
(11) Turn left onto Route de Pierrafoy and continue along the road until you reach the stadium entrance.
(1) Turn right and continue straight ahead until you reach Place Carnot (S/E).
