Park your vehicle near the buildings adjacent to the restaurant "La maison du Lac Bleu".
(S/E) A path runs along these buildings on the left and follows the lake at the top of the embankment (do not try to go down it, as it is dangerous). Continue to make a half-turn around the lake. At the end, you will reach a path that runs alongside the carriage road (Chemin du Peych); take it on the left (westbound).
(1) After 400 metres along this path, you will arrive at a crossroads. Take the road on the left (southbound) towards the "Petit Hermitage". Walk past a few buildings, cross a small stream and leave the majestic avenue of plane trees on your left, which leads to the "Petit Hermitage" residence. You will immediately enter the vineyard of Château Chevallier, whose wine cellars are opposite you.
A "private property" sign has been placed here. According to the land registry, this is explicitly a "rural road".
A large isolated oak tree serves as a landmark. As soon as possible after the oak tree, turn left into a vineyard lane. This lane runs alongside the Petit Hermitage and continues straight ahead. When you reach a small tarmac road, turn right.
(2) At the next crossroads, turn left (but not completely left) onto a very small road that gradually curves (Chemin de l'Hermitage). If you take a wrong turn, you will have some difficulty getting out of the Chevallier vineyards as they are fenced in. You will soon reach the hamlet of Mignoy, crossing Chemin des Bûcherons to continue straight ahead and come out on Chemin de Mignoy.
(3) Turn right and continue along this small road until you reach a place called Les Bougès, which will inevitably lead you to Chemin des Bougès. After crossing the Eau Blanche river and a small wood, this small road leads to vast vineyards.
(4) It is worth taking the path on the left, between the house and the vineyard. You are now in the vineyards of the Fieuzal and France châteaux.
(5) After passing the first lane on the right, take the second lane, also on the right, for about 300 metres, then turn left and head uphill towards the buildings (wine cellars) of Château Fieuzal, which you will go around on the left. The lane running alongside the wine cellars descends the other side of the hill in the same direction. At the bottom of this lane, turn left into the gravel lane leading to Château de France.
(6) Do not turn, but continue in the same direction, this time along a grassy lane between two vineyards (you are actually walking above a drainage ditch). You will come to another gravel lane, which you can follow to the right for about 250 metres.
(7) At the end of the vineyard, at the corner of a wood, turn left. The sandy path (Chemin du Prieur) where you are now will take you straight back to your starting point, crossing the Eau Blanche, a small wood, alongside a building materials company and a few small vineyards.
At the junction with Chemin des Terres Rousses, turn left to return to the car park, which is less than 200 metres away (S/E).
