Lac Bleu via the Technopole and Bordeaux-Léognan-Saucats aerodrome

A lovely walk, with ever-changing scenery of woods, vineyards and woodland as you follow the streams. It’s very varied and can be shortened by taking alternative routes.
If you enjoy long walks, you’re in for a treat.

Hello,
Having spent a long time studying this part of the route online early this morning – from point 2 to point 11, en route to ‘Technopole and Bx/Saucats Aerodrome’ – everything went smoothly according to the original route details. My only criticism is that there are no specific instructions between points 4 and 5: NOTHING!! I’m following your description and your map route. See you later.

Hello,
Just to say that I’ll be going back to cover Points 2 to 11 of this walk, and doing the Technopole and Léognan Saucats Aerodrome section, where I really did come unstuck!!!
See you soon

Hello,
I’ve just done this walk. Phew!!
I managed up to point 4. Although, before turning left to get to point 2, I turned right between the vineyards, walked 100 metres and turned left again between the vineyards to reach a wide track of white gravel, and carried on to the Grand Route, crossed it and, on the opposite side, took the track between the vineyards. Much better than walking along the side of the Grand Route.
I found the embankment (path) on the left, followed the Chemin du Château Neuf until I reached the track!! And from there on, everything went a bit haywire. Goodbye to the Bordeaux Montesquieu Technopole (although at one point I did spot a large advertising hoarding in the vineyards with that name on it, but was it…? Bye-bye to the road running alongside the aerodrome, though I could hear the planes making a right racket in the sky… And I found myself at the side of the Chemin des Bougès, which I took, then took the Chemin de Caupey, carried on along the Piste des Bougès, passed the Véret Blanc and took the path to the left. I took the path on the right as far as the Ségr… track – no, the Cassaudière track – and YES!! That wasn’t IT! … I’ll stop there because right up to the end I was in a right mess, though I managed to land on my feet.
WHAT AN ADVENTURE!

I’m familiar with part of this route as I’m from the area. I can’t say whether it’s very busy or not.
