Entre forêt et étangs au départ de l'Étang de Berthommiers

Park in the car park at the Étang de Berthommiers.

(S/E) Head towards the pond and turn right in front of it, walking alongside it so that you are between the pond and the car park.
Continue to a small wooden bridge, which is very slippery when wet, and continue to leave the pond area and head towards the forest. Join the Allée de Jean de Coligny.

(1) Turn right and you will soon reach a small crossroads with several paths.

(2) Take the left-hand path and continue until you reach the Route Forestière d'Artois.

(3) Turn right and follow the road, taking care of the few cars that drive there. After the speed bumps, take a path on the right and follow it for a few metres until you reach a new crossroads with a barely visible path.

(4) Turn left onto it and follow it straight ahead until you reach the Route Forestière de Clavières.

(5) At the road, turn right and continue for a few dozen metres until you reach another fork.

(6) Turn left and continue to the crossroads of paths at the stream flowing out of the Étang des Deux Frères.

(7) Continue straight ahead to reach the Route Forestière de l'Abbaye. Turn right and follow the road to the start of a path on the right at the stream before the Changaire roundabout

(8) Take this path to reach the car park where you started.

(S/E) Follow the same route back to the Allée de Jean de Coligny crossroads.

(1) Turn left here into this lane, continue along it, cross the Route Forestière de Berthommiers. Jump over the ditch and continue along a very grassy path, which is partially flooded in winter, until you reach the next intersection.

(9) Turn left and follow the path to the Route Forestière de Clavière.

(10) Cross it and follow the path slightly to the left. Follow a straight section to reach Route Forestière de la Bernaise.

(11) Follow it for a few metres to the left, then left again to reach the Allée de l'Oratoire crossroads.

(12) Turn right into this lane and keep left at the next crossroads. Then cross the Route Forestière de l'Abbay and continue for a few metres until you reach the next fork.

(13) Turn left to reach the Étang des Deux Frères. Follow the pond and return to the crossroads you passed on the way there.

(7) Turn right to reach the junction with the Route Forestière de Clavière.

(6) Take it on the left to easily reach the Étang de Berthommiers car park (S/E).
