Departure from the Relais VTT du Parc Lavolville in Bruay-la-Buissière. Yellow markings no. 18.
(S/E) Take the path heading north-east along the road, then take a long right turn (do not continue straight on theGR®). This is the old mine bridge. After a 90° left turn, continue along the path that leads to La Chartreuse.
(1) Walk along the Chartreuse on the right and, at the intersection, go straight ahead. Continue on a small path to the right before the construction site, which is closed to the public. Continue along the path and enter the Bois des Dames.
(2) At the end of this path, turn right, then left to walk along the motorway and turn left.
(3) Cross the road and continue along the path opposite, which runs alongside the road on the right for a while, then turns left to follow the motorway again.
(4) At the intersection, take Rue Pasteur opposite, then turn right at the next intersection onto Rue Paul Vaillant Couturier and continue along the road, Rue Verte.
(5) At the end, turn left onto the D181E5 and follow the road for about 1 km.
(6) Turn right at the first road.
(7) After the last houses, enter the Bois des Dames again by turning right at the three-way junction.
(8) Pass a bus shelter and continue straight ahead on narrower paths. Cut across a path and continue to the next crossroads.
(9) Turn left, then right.
(10) At the end of the path, turn left, then right at the next intersection. Exit the woods and join a road.
(11) Turn left, then left again, take the passage under the road to the right, then turn left to return to the starting point (S/E).
