Departure from the car park near the Recoumène Viaduct.
(S/E) From the car park, cross the D500 road carefully and continue along the old railway line. Follow the wide path for about 1 km, then join and stay on the tarmac road for about 900 metres. Walk along the school wall on your right until you reach the pedestrian crossing.
(1) Carefully cross the D500 road and continue along Rue des Pénitents (one-way street, closed to vehicles over 2 metres wide). At the end of the street, turn right and ignore the stairs leading uphill. Reach Place du Vallat and walk along the castle on your left.
(2) At the end of the square, turn immediately right and cross the bridge over the D500 road, following the red and whiteGR®430markings. At the end of the bridge, turn left and continue along the road. After about 50 metres, go straight ahead at the crossroads. At the next Y-junction, turn right. In a bend, leave the direction of Artaud on your right and continue along Allée de Bellevue for about 500 metres.
(3) At the crossroads (2nd Allée de Bellevue sign), turn right onto the stone path that climbs towards the Meyzous plateauand follow the yellowPR® markings. On the plateau, near the statue of the Virgin Mary, continue along the wide stone path. At the Y-junction, ignore the path that branches off to the right and follow theGR®430andPR® markings.
(4) When you reach the tarmac road, turn left onto it. At the Y-junction near a fire hydrant, keep left on the road.
(5) At the farm building, continue straight ahead on thePR® andGR® path for about 1.3 km.
(6) Leave the red and whiteGR® markings and turn right at the sign indicating PR®240 and PR® 183. Join the small path lined with dry stone walls and follow the yellow markings to the village of Meyzous.
(7) Continue along the tarmac road and follow the hairpin bend to the left, ignoring the dirt track that branches off to the right and the yellowPR® markings. At the T-junction, turn left and join the D500 road.
(8) At the bus shelter, turn right onto the D500 road and follow it carefully to reach the car park (S/E).
