(S) From the Asinau refuge, take the path that descends to the bottom of the valley. After about 600m, you will come to a junction, which is the yellow-marked link to Quenza. Continue straight on theGR® to descend to the stream and cross it.
(1) Once on the left bank of the Asinao stream, stay at roughly the same height and continue along a small path through a forest of pine and birch trees, crossing several small streams. An alpine variant branches off to your left. Continue along the same path, still roughly following the contour line. The forest becomes less dense and you are now in scrubland.
Go around the Pargulu ridge, change slopes and, in an area covered with maritime pines, cross the Caracutu stream before climbing through the forest and then over rocks to the Col de Bavella (1218m).
(2) Turn left onto the road to reach the few houses and shops below. At the first bend, leave the road and take a dirt track that will take you through a beautiful coniferous forest. The track then narrows to a small path that will take you to a trail. Follow it to your right and cross the Volpajola ravine via the lookout point.
Then take the path on the right that climbs towards Foce Finosa (1206m).
(3) Cross Foce Finosa and descend the fairly steep path with its hairpin bends. The path then levels out on a contour line. You will come to a small intersection. On the right, you will pass under the Paliri Refuge; on the left, you can reach it by passing by the spring.
(4) From the Paliri Refuge, descend via theGR® marked trail and reach Bocca di Monte Bracciutu.
(5) Do not cross it: continue on theGR® to reach a plateau (Foce di u Bracciu 917m). Descend slightly before climbing back up fairly steep switchbacks to Bocca di u Sordu (1040m).
(6) Cross to the other side of Bocca di u Sordu and descend over much more arid terrain to reach the ruins of Capeddu (850m).
(7) Descend further to reach the Punta Pinzuta stream, cross to its left bank and follow the path along a small stone wall, following the contour line. Then take a hairpin bend that will bring you back to the stream, which you will have to cross again to reach its right bank.
After a few steep hairpin bends that will take you back up, walk along the contour line for a good two kilometres before reaching Bocca d'Usciolu (587m).
(8) From this pass, you can see the village of Conca below. Cross the pass and descend towards the village. When you reach the fountain, descend into the village along the road for about one and a half kilometres. A sign indicates the end ofthe GR®20.
Continue downhill through the village to reach the Conca campsite (E).
