Park at the end of the harbour, at the foot of the cliffs, just below the town, in the shaded car park.
S/E: Head to the back of the car park and cross the Fontdevine River via a small wooden bridge.
(1) Turn right, follow the river and pass the entrance to the Saint-Martial Monolith Hermitage (which you can visit).
Go to the end, turn left and follow the small road that crosses the hamlet of La Gravelle. Ignore the passages on the right.
(2) After the last buildings, leave the road and take a path between hedges (single track) almost opposite, to the left of the road.
Follow it to a road and turn left.
(3) Follow the road, pass the equestrian centre and take the first path on the left, at a right angle, which climbs steeply.
Follow it until you reach the cliffs.
(4) Follow the path that turns right and go to the road and the first houses. Continue straight ahead. Ignore the first road, Route de la Gravelle.
(5) Turn right at the next road, Rue des Mimosas, just before the football pitch. Follow the road and continue straight ahead on the path and theGR®360trail (very poorly marked). Pass by the Fontaine Clous fountain and continue along the path, as straight as possible, still following theGR®360. Turn right about 100 m before the first house at elevation 49, then left and join the D145, still on theGR®360.
(6) At the road, turn right and then almost immediately left onto a path and follow it. Turn left at the first path and join a road to see the cross on the right.
(7) At the cross, leave theGR®360, turn around and follow the road back to Mortagne-sur-Gironde. Follow the small road, arrive on the D145 and continue straight ahead, with great caution.
Turn left (path) at the first small lane, Chemin des Roses Trémières, then right at the second lane, Chemin des Tulipes.
Pass the schools and continue straight ahead on Rue du Stade.
Pass the stadium car park and continue straight ahead to the T-junction.
(8) Turn left onto Rue des Douves and continue to Place Bel Air. Take the marked path down to the port. When you reach the road, continue straight ahead to the port and turn left to reach the car park (S/E).
