Drive to Ponti à Seddula on the RT20 and leave your car in the car park.
(S) The walk begins on a dirt track. Go through the gate, closing it behind you, and continue to the Capiaghja sheepfolds. There is a water point where you can top up your water before the climb. After the last sheepfold, follow the track to the right.
(1) Use the footbridge with care to cross the Gravona, or cross on foot during the low-water season. Just beyond the footbridge, the path continues to the right.
(2) At the junction, a sign suggests climbing to the left towards Punta Capiteddu (or continuing along the path back towards the hamlet of I Ceddi in Bucugnà). The ascent begins here. Cairns and yellow markings mark the route up the slope.
(3) After a final damp slope, you’ll reach a plateau; cross the stream and continue along the opposite bank. Keep following the cairns and yellow markings.
(4) Emerge from the forest and continue along the path, passing beneath Petra Liscia. Re-enter the forest and follow the contour line (orange markings on the trees) to reach the pass.
(5) Punta Capiteddu is on your right. Continue along the path until you reach the cross (E).
This is the end of the walk. For the return journey, there are two options: retrace your steps, or choose to head down towards Bucugnà.
