The walk is marked with Nat'Mouv signs.
Park in the Claussmann car park.
(S/E) Set off in the opposite direction to the cemetery and head towards the channelled Egelbach stream, which you cross.
At the end of the street lined with grassy parking bays, turn right (slight incline), then left (flat road), then right again (steep incline).
(1) At the junction, take the track leading up towards the hillside and, at thefirst crossroads, turn sharply left.
Continue along the same track until you reach the inter-municipal water reservoir, which you will pass. Walk alongside a vineyard.
(2) Ignore the path on the right (which is the return route) and carry straight on.
Cross the plateau and keep going straight towards the mountain.
(3) A few hundred metres after entering the forest, take the path on the left which passes near the old drinking water reservoir, then keep following the path straight ahead as it climbs
(4) At the top of the hill, the path levels out. Take the first path on your right; the “Schletzenburg” is signposted. Climb to the highest point of the wooded promontory to find the old oak tree. Then retrace your steps and, at the junction, continue to the right.
(5) At the start of the descent, take the path on the left which descends steeply and follow it until you rejoin the path you took on the way up.
(3) Walk straight down.
(2) Shortly after reaching the vineyards, turn onto the path that descends to the left towards the Egelbach stream, which you will continue to follow as you leave the valley onto the wide path.
(6) After the beehives and just before entering the village, turn onto the path that climbs steeply to your right.
(7) At the first junction, turn left and, from there, keep to the paths straight ahead.
(1) Back on the tarmac road, head right for a few metres, then take the road on the left downhill.
When you cross the Egelbach stream, take the path that runs alongside it to return to the starting point (S/E).
