From Col des Issartets to Lac du Moulinet via Le Batifolier

Park at the Col des Issartets car park on the edge of the D53, not far from the A75.

(S/E) Turn your back on the motorway and follow the D53 towards Saint-Sauveur-de-Peyre for about 250 metres and take the first dirt track on the right.

(1) Take this road and continue to the Croix de Marquès crossroads.

(2) Follow the road to the right for about 450 m, skirting a wood, and you will come to a right-hand bend.

(3) Take the path on the left, then immediately leave it to follow the one on the right. Once you reach the hamlet of Batifolier, climb up to the left to the goat farm.

(4) Retrace your steps, cross the hamlet and rejoin the road (D3). Follow it to the right, towards Saint-Sauveur-de-Peyre, until you reach the edge of a wooded area.

(5) Take the path on the left through the beech and fir trees. Cross the hamlet of Combettes and you will reach a multiple crossroads.

(6) Follow the departmental road to the right towards the motorway, then, a few metres before the stop sign, turn right to take the underpass. At the exit, turn right towards the woods. Walk along the woods until you reach an intersection.

(7) Take the path on the left and join the banks of Lac du Moulinet after crossing a tarmac road.

(8) Continue to the right along the lake, then turn right away from it and rejoin the road you crossed earlier. Follow this road straight ahead to La Védrinelle, arriving at the crossroads at the entrance to the hamlet, opposite a beautiful stone house.

(9) Turn right, then leave the road at the three-way junction and follow the path on the right. You will come out onto the tarmac road (D53) and continue for a few dozen metres to the right.

(10) Take the path on the right and continue straight ahead for 1 km to reach the junction of the Lac du Moulinet circular.

(7) Continue straight ahead, pass under the motorway again and reach the multiple crossroads at Les Combettes.

(6) Take the hairpin bend to the left and follow the small road downhill, which leads directly back to the Col des Issartets (S/E).
