From the Col de la Faucille to the small belvedere at La Redoute

A short walk accessible to younger children, which quickly leads to a magnificent viewpoint over Geneva, the Salève and the majestic Mont Blanc.

This hike, accessible from April to November, is ideal for a short outing to admire the landscape from the Col de la Faucille. The route alternates between stony paths and forest trails. At the end, the Redoute viewpoint offers breathtaking views of Geneva, the Salève and the Mont Blanc massif. On a clear day, the panorama extends to the Swiss Alps, offering a unique spectacle at sunrise and sunset.

Description of the walk

From Gex, head towards the Col de la Faucille. Park at the pass.

(S/E) Follow the road towards the Col de la Faucille exit, passing the Télécombi and then the start of the tree-top adventure course.
At the edge of the small tarmac road, at an altitude of 1,323 metres, a path branches off to the right with a sign indicating "La Redoute".

(1) Follow the path downhill until it joins a small tarmac road after 5 minutes. Continue to the junction.

(2) Turn left onto the dirt track towards a path that continues into the forest and reaches the viewpoint in 5 minutes.

(3) Return to the pass (S/E) by retracing your steps.
