Black Horse Baston Circular

This interesting circular walk from The Black Horse in Baston, Lincolnshire, PE6 9PB on minor roads and field paths.

(S/E) From The Black Horse, turn right along Main Road for about 700 m.

(1) Turn left into Church Street. When the road turns right, continue straight on the footpath crossing three roads. After 1.4 km reach A15 Bourne Road, cross over and turn left to face ongoing traffic for about 100 m.

(2) Right turn off A15 onto Long Walk and continue about 1.5 km to reach Kings Street.

(3) Turn right to follow King Street for 1.3 km.

(4) Turn right off King St. onto the footpath and after 600 m cross over A15 using the central reservation. Turn left along the path. After 15 m, turn right down the footpath with the house on your left. At the end of the footpath, turn left down onto School Lane to reach Main Street, turn right and continue for about 150 m.

(5) Turn right off Main Street by the Post Office onto Church Street. If you have time take a look at St John's church on your left. Continue round Church Street to re-join Main Street, cross over and turn right to get back to The Black Horse (S/E).
