There are several places to park (see Practical Information). The first car park is located at the entrance to the village behind the cooperative winery.
(S/E) Return to the Grande Rue, turn right and follow it until you reach the junction with Avenue de la Mairie.
(1) Turn right onto Avenue de la Mairie (second car park on the left by the plane trees). At the end of the avenue, turn right onto the D50 or Rue de l'Usine. Drive past the ruins of the old plaster factory.
(2) Leave the road and take the second paved road towards the wind turbines. The slope is steep for about one kilometre. As you climb, a splendid view of the valley and the village of Villesèque appears.
(3) At the end of the paved section, you will reach a crossroads. Continue straight ahead, following the yellow and orange trail. The path narrows, lined on both sides by box trees, small oaks and junipers. It overlooks a farmhouse undergoing renovation.
(4) When you reach the top, turn left onto the relatively wide dirt track that crosses the first field of wind turbines.
(5) Before thefifth wind turbine, leave the main path and continue on the narrower path that branches off to the right for about 700 metres. Numerous traces of wild boar, dog paws and several promontories indicate that hunting is well established in the area.
(6) Follow the narrower path to the right for about 400 m.
(7) Turn left onto Chemin de la Cabayride, leave it at the next crossroads and continue straight ahead, heading slightly downhill towards the Col de Gléon. Follow a deep, long ravine on your right, then begin the descent towards the first hairpin bend where, weather permitting, you can admire a splendid view of the valley with the Corbières massif in the background. Continue to the paved road.
(8) Descend this road on the left, following the Gléon stream for about 400 m. Numerous resurgences remind us of the presence of springs, including the Janfreste spring located below.
(9) Leave the Chemin de Gléon on the left and climb the steep path. Halfway up, 10 metres before the hairpin bend that leads up to the beautifully renovated house, turn right onto the path leading to the Janfestre spring. Take the wider path on the right and descend through the vineyards towards the village.
(10) At the bend in the last vineyard, take the small path straight ahead to the first housing development. Head towards the centre along Rue de la Cabayrido, then turn left onto Rue de Gléon.
(1) At the junction with Avenue de la Mairie, continue straight ahead on Grande Rue to return to the starting point (S/E).
