Description of the walk

The starting point of the circular walk is at the car park of the Sainte-Barbe Chapel (10 Rue du Ouahre, 56340 Plouharnel). This car park is accessible to all types of vehicle. In the car park, look for the walk’s starting point marker with the QR code giving access to the interactive map. The white sand martin will then indicate the direction to take.

(S/E) From the Sainte-Barbe Chapel car park, take Rue Pen er Bloé towards the hamlet of Sainte-Barbe.

(1) At the junction, turn left, and 50 m further on, turn left again to follow Rue de la Plage.

(2) Take the Voie Verte on the right. After 50 m, turn left to cross the dune system.

(3) At the junction, head left and continue to the wooden barrier, then turn left and follow the tarmac road for 50 m.

(4) Turn right onto the Route des Allemands, where there is a gate for cars. Carry on straight ahead for 600 m.

(5) Before the rocks, turn left onto the Voie Verte. Follow the sign for Sainte-Barbe on the left, then turn right until you reach the fountain.

(6) After the fountain, take the path on the right towards the Sainte-Barbe washhouse.

(7) Turn right before the engraved stone to take the small path and continue until you reach the Glévenay washhouse.

(8) Turn right and carry on straight ahead to the Mané Bégo viewpoint (there and back). You can enjoy an exceptional panoramic view of Plouharnel Bay, the entrance to the Quiberon Peninsula, the dune system, Sainte-Barbe and Carnac. After taking in the view, turn back to return to the Glévenay washhouse.

(8) Turn right.

(9) Turn left onto Route de Tenn Bras. Further on, at the stop sign, carry on straight ahead towards Kerbéren.

(10) In this hamlet, turn left into the Poul er Groes cul-de-sac and take the small sunken path lined with dry-stone walls. At the end, continue along the road opposite. After the rubbish bin, turn left to return to the Chapel of Sainte-Barbe and the car park (S/E).
