(S) From the municipal stopover lodge in Mérindol, retrace your steps from the previous day (north-west), via Chemin des Rousseaux then Rue du Gascon. Take the first right, Rue des Anciens Combattants d'AFN.
(1) At the end of the street, turn left onto Rue des Écoles, then take the first right onto Rue du Stade. At the junction, continue straight on along Chemin de la Viane, which leads onto Chemin des Frigoulières. Follow it to the left, cross Avenue des Brullières and continue straight ahead onto Chemin des Marres. After about 500 m, you will reach Chemin des Huguenots.
(2) Take this straight ahead, following the cycle path lined with a power line. All along the way, stay straight on at junctions and keep right at Forks in the road. You will reach a car park at the corner of a junction.
(3) Continue straight ahead for 100 m. At the Fork in the road, leave the Chemin des Huguenots and follow the Chemin du Degoutaou to the left. Ignore the side paths until you reach a junction.
(4) At the signpost, continue straight on along the GRE7, then 100 m further on, turn onto a path on the right. Ignore the side paths to reach the Piste des Borrys.
(5) Follow it to the right until you reach a Fork in the road. Stay on the Piste des Borrys, GRE7, which turns left. Ignore the side paths and head towards a junction(elevation 256).
(6) At the signpost, keep to the same ascending track on the right, marked GRE7. After 500 m, ignore another track on the right (elevation 318), then the paths on either side. About 1.5 km further on, cross a wide track and come to a junction.
(7) At the signpost, head north-east onto the GRE7 path opposite. After a hairpin bend to the right, begin the descent into the Vallon du Gros Ubac andemerge onto a track (elevation 531).
(8) Follow it to the left, then leave it 120 m further on at its hairpin bend to take a shortcut on the left, which rejoins the track further down at another hairpin bend (elevation 437).
(9) Descend the track to the left and reach a Fork in the road (elevation 368)
(10) At the signpost, leave the track and climb the hairpin bends of the GRE7 to the left. Cross a ridge (alt. 440 m) and descend a path that winds down the side of the Combe du Sautadou. You’ll reach a path at the bottom of the valley (alt. 370 m).
(11) At the signpost, head down the GRE7 to the right and join a track (elevation 324 m). Follow it straight ahead. Still at the bottom of the valley, reach a junction at the hamlet of Valbigonce (elevation 287 m).
(12) At the signpost, take the path on the left up the bottom of the Vallon des Séyes, ignoring the side tracks,and reach a crossroads (elevation 510 m).
(13) Leave the path and follow a track heading in the opposite direction to the right, which winds up the side of the Vallon de Jean Court. After a hairpin bend to the left, follow the bare ridge (east-northeast) to reach the summit (614m). Descend to a small pass.
(14) At the signpost, continue straight ahead along the ridge, then on the descent turn right (south) and head for a junction.
(15) Turn left into the bottom of the Vallon du Bon Dieu. At around 300 m, leave it to go round its flank on the right, then head down (south)through the olive groves before reaching a road, the Chemin de Pierrouet.
(16) At the sign, follow it to the left and cross the bridge over the Aigue Brun stream. After a right-hand bend, walk alongside a car park and arrive at a junction in the village of Lourmarin.
(17) At the signpost, turn left to join the D493 and follow it to the right. Turn into the first street on the left, the Chemin d’Aguye. About 400 m further on, you’ll reach a Fork in the road.
(18) At the signpost, stay onthe same path (GRE7) to the right. At the Fork in the road, turn right onto the Chemin du Gibas and, after a right-hand bend, reach a T-junction. Take the path going in the opposite direction to the right and, before it bends, keep left then immediately left again. Cross a path and arrive at a junction.
(19) Turn left, then, 30 m further on, right onto Chemin de Faraud. Ignore the small side paths and stay on the main road until you reach a crossroads. Pass the first street on the left and cross the bridge at the next one. You will immediately come to a Fork in the road.
(20) Keep to the right onto Chemin de la Maguelonne. Ignore a road on the right and you’ll soon reach a Fork in the road.
(21) Continue straight ahead along the road, the Chemin du Jas. At the junction, in front of a long pond, take the dirt track straight ahead to join the Traverse du Chemin Sourd (elevation 361). Follow it to the right. At the Fork in the road, keep right and at the next two forks turn left onto the Chemin Sourd before reaching a junction.
(22) Turn right onto the Traverse de Font de Ville (against the flow of traffic) and join the D27. Turn left onto it and continue to a junction in the village of Cucuron.
(24) At the sign, follow the D87, the Boulevard du Sud, to the right, towards the Lou Badareu campsite. At the crossroads, head down Chemin de la Ferrage against the flow of traffic to the right. At the fork, continue left and rejoin the D27. Take it to the right, cross the bridge and reach a Fork in the road.
(24) At the signpost, stay on the D27 straight ahead. After 400 m, turn right towards the Lou Badareu campsite and the stopover lodge (E).
