Les gites sont toujours des points d'accueil très agréables avec le dîner et le petit déjeuner. Ils permettent aussi de confronter les expériences avec les autres randonneurs.
Les draps sont fournis, mais prévoyez les boules Quiez à cause des coqs qui chantent dès 4h du matin.
Pensez à démarrer tôt le matin pour profiter d'un ciel parfaitement dégagé et pour avoir un peu moins de chaleur.
Il n'y a aucun problème pour trouver de l'eau en route.
De Mafate à la route du Maïdo
Découvrez certains des plus beaux paysages de Mafate avec ce circuit de 3 jours qui permet de sortir des sentiers battus et de profiter du calme et de la vraie nature sauvage. Assez sportif, il ne présente cependant aucun danger.

Two trails lead to the waterfall: the first starts at the old thermal baths and the second at the start of the Taïbit trail. This route is the first of the two. Easy and suitable for families, it offers beautiful views of the western part of the cirque. It’s a classic Cilaos walk and is very popular!
