(S/E) In Lévetière, take the road leading up towards Serlin.
(1) At the second hairpin bend, take the path signposted towards Mont-Jalla. Follow the yellow markings. The path climbs slightly.
(2) Take the fork to the right of a large tree marked with red signs and the number 96, then continue along the hillside and descend gently to Lachal.
(3) Turn left. At the bread oven, turn left after the stop sign. Arrive at Mas Caché;
(4) Take the path that climbs steeply. You’ll reach a bend with an unobstructed view of the Isère valley and the Vercors. Below, you can see the synchrotron ring.
(5) Continue along the gentle slope until you reach a level track.
(6) Follow this track to reach a platform and some ruins. Continue past these and, on the left, you’ll reach the Mont-Jalla memorial.
(7) Return via the same route as at (S/E). View of the Néron, the Pinéa and Mont Rachais.
(3) At Lachal, you can follow the D57 to return quickly to Lévetière. Watch out for cars and lorries.
