(S/E) Set off from the beach car park to the right of the village, opposite the beach bar; free of charge out of season. Walk through the village, passing the harbour.
(1) Join the coastal path signposted on the right. The path is then signposted and follows the coastline. It’s an easy walk as far as Tollare, where you’ll find a beautifully restored Genoese tower. Continue along the lane, passing a bar.
(2) Once you’ve crossed the road, take the path behind the houses, which climbs steeply alongside construction site barriers. There’s an information sign at the start of the climb. Once at the top, you’ll have a lovely view of the bay. The path continues and then descends to a pebble beach. Cross the beach and rejoin the path as it climbs again.
(3) At the top, the path branches off to the right towards Monte Riuzzulu and to the left towards the small road leading to the signal box. Follow this road until you reach the signal box.
(4) Turn round and head back along the same route to the Barcaggio Beach car park (S/E).
