A refreshing walk (lots of shade) with mostly gentle slopes in the middle of a beautiful forest. The starting point is Place des Tilleuls, which is also an ideal spot for a picnic.
The uphill section has some steep parts, but they are not long. The descent is very gentle. Beautiful views of the forest, the hills, the valleys and the streams.

Description of the walk

Park south of Mollau in the car park at Place des Tilleuls.

(S/E) Take the marked red and white route towards the Col de Rimbach. Follow the right bank of the Fassmattrunz river and continue to an oratory.

(1) Continue climbing and, after a clearing, you will reach a crossroads.

(2) Leave the signposts here and take a path on the right that leads further on, at the highest point, to a wide stony path.

(3) Take this path on the right, descending, and enjoy a pleasant walk through the Belacker Woods. You will then reach a Y-shaped crossroads.

(4) Stay on the right branch to enter the Mollau Communal Forest. Take a 90° left turn to reach a gate and a small bridge.

(5) Take the track on the right, follow the left bank of a stream, then return to the car park at Place des Tilleuls (S/E).
