Dalry Community Park - Easy route

Start : Dalry Park Car Park (KA24 5EX). Grid Ref. NS 291 498 - (What3Words: sofas.girder.brother)

(S/E) Starting from the carpark, whilst facing the children's play area, walk to the left (North) along the tarmac path. Note that there is a very gentle gradient which soon flattens out.

(1) At the crossroads take the path to the right and carry on 180m South West along the tarmac path.

(2) At the fork keep right (South).

(3) At the next junction turn right and carry on West along the tarmac path between the multi-use games area and the skate park.

(4) Bypass the uphill paths to the left and carry on the path as it curves round to the right (North), this will take you back to the starting point. (S/E)

Transport : Dalry train station is 0.8 miles from the start point of this walk. The nearest bus stop is on James street and is 0.3 miles from the start point.

Facilities : The closest known toilets and cafe is 0.3 miles North at the Original Factory Shop on Braehead (tel 01294 832791) or 0.3 miles South at Dalry Cross (KA24 5AW) where there are a selection of shops and cafes.

Terrain : The paths are in excellent condition, this is a flat tarmac surface.
The paths are suitable for walking, running, cycling and skating.

Dog Policy : This is an excellent park for dog walkers.

Alternative : There are many opportunities to expand this short walk including river and woodland walks.

This is a great park for children with a well equipped play area, multi-use games area and skate park.
