Park near the Oberhof restaurant located at the junction of the D133 connecting Dossenheim-sur-Zinsel to Phalsbourg and the D122 coming from Graufthal.
(S/E) Head towards Phalsbourg on the D133, taking the hard shoulder for about 250 m, then turn left onto theGR®532forest path marked with a yellow rectangle until you reach the Nesselbach crossroads.
(1) After the bench, turn left onto the path towards the Hutte du Fouquet, marked with a yellow rectangle. Pass in front of the Rocher de la Bande Noire and arrive at the shelter and picnic area of the Hutte du Fouquet (with a sandstone heron sculpture nearby).
(2) Continue on the left towards Bonne Fontaine, marked with a yellow rectangle, taking the forest road and then the forest path at the hairpin bend, passing the second sandstone stele (the wolf and the lamb) and then the third (Saint Anthony of Padua). The path joins the forest road, which you follow for about 400 metres to reach the chapel.
(3) A visit to the chapel and its surroundings (a place of pilgrimage dedicated to the Virgin Mary) is a must (there are numerous benches).
Then pass in front of the small cemetery and go around it on the left, following the Green Ring markings, passing in front of the fourth stele (dedicated to Émile Erckmann, a writer from Phalsbourg in the late 19th century).
(4) Continue along the gently sloping forest path marked with the Green Ring sign, passing steles 5 (the fox and the hedgehog) and 6 (the pike and the perch), until you reach the last stele, the Grindelwald couple.
(5) Turn left, following the red triangle markings, towards "Adam and Eve". The path is steep until you reach the Michel Rauch footbridge over the Fond de Fouquet stream, then climbs steeply again before levelling out at a place called Adam and Eve (picnic area).
(6) Continue following the red triangle markings towards Buchelberg along the sloping forest path until you reach the Buchelberg Forest Road and then, 100 metres further on, the D104g departmental road.
(7) Cross this road and join the forest path marked with red triangles opposite, identified as "Graufthal shooting range". Halfway along, leave the red triangle marked trail on your left and continue straight ahead on the unmarked forest path until you reach a stony forest road. Continue left on this road, cross the bridge over the stream and go to the first crossroads, 50 m away.
(8) Turn right at a private property with a beautiful pond, continue on the right until you reach the second crossroads and turn right onto the wide path marked with a blue easel. Pass the Fontaine Sainte-Marie on your left, then further on, leave the wide path and turn right onto the path marked Chevalet Bleu. The small path leads to a pretty wooden bridge over the Nesselbach stream and to the Grotte des Amoureux (Lovers' Cave) 50 m away (bench).
(9) Continue along this path for about 50 metres until you reach the junction with the D104g, turn left onto this road, walk 150 metres and you will reach the Nesselbach crossroads on the right, which you passed on the way there.
(1) Follow theGR® 532 Yellow Rectangle trail in the opposite direction to the one you took on the way there to return to the car park (S/E).
